Iain Barton is a recognised leader in global health, specialising in the design, implementation and scaling of healthcare systems and supply chain solutions. A qualified medical doctor (MBChB, University of Cape Town), he combines 10 years of clinical experience with over 25 years in healthcare supply chain management and advisory. Formerly CEO of the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Iain played a key role in establishing regional distribution centres supporting the global scale-up of PEPFAR, as well as the Supply Chain Control Tower for the Global Fund. He has held senior leadership roles including Group CEO of RTT and Executive Vice President – Healthcare at Imperial Logistics, where he led strategy, innovation and market expansion across Africa.Iain is also the founder of Health 4 Development (H4D) and has driven innovations such as Unjani Clinics and Warehouse-in-a-Box to improve access to healthcare across the continent. He currently chairs the Advisory Board for the University of Cape Town’s Department of Global Surgery.
